this is an amazing little system that we have put together here. the core of the system is the compact synology DS220+
this is a rock solid nas with 26tb total, 24tb usable storage for files and the two included cameras. 1st camera is the Synology Bullet style BC500 5MP. The second is the Synology Turret style TC500 5MP. Perfect for a small buisness. Synology makes it super easy to add extra cameras also. They do not even need to be Synology branded. Any camera that supports onvf will work here also. with 24tb of storage you should be able to store over 4months on these 2 cameras or build out the system with 10 or more and easly still get over a month of recording.
the drives were just put in when we set the system up on 11/07/25 for testing. this system is mint and ready to go.
the only other thing needed is a POE switch and network cable to run to each camera. a regular switch will work if you provide a 12v power supply to each camera.
